Ragamuffin Soul: Ragamuffin Soul »  Worship Leader…The HGTV Version

She's either "under the influence" or ticked because her party just got crashed by the announcer from Carmen San Diego!
  • mudpuppy · 1 year ago
    Holy Crap!
  • coni andress · 1 year ago
I am squirming in my seat. I just want that host to stop talking!!!
  • Billy Chia · 1 year ago
    wow...that's awkward.

Man, yeah if I lead worship like that, just shoot me first and ask questions later.

I'm always talking to my team about being in tune with the room and how you can't lead people somewhere if you take off running so far ahead they never catch up.
  • Blake Wingo · 1 year ago
Ha! I watched that the other night and was so uncomfortable. :)
  • Amber Cox · 1 year ago
oh man - they should take the prize away from her and give it to someone else! CRAZINESS!
  • Ruthie · 1 year ago
I think that she was just overwhelmed. People have different reactions. She was crying and that's a reaction. I still think she was grateful.

The host was too much. Too much.
  • Andrea · 1 year ago
I can't believe the host just walked in the front door!
  • Vince · 1 year ago
She reminds me of Kirk Franklin. That dude spends eighty percent of his time on stage making demands of the audience to do stupid crap. I saw him work up a video venue full of people into playing 'air piano'.
  • Jamie · 1 year ago
I thought this had to be a SNL or MadTV skit. Was that really Real?
  • whittakerwoman · 1 year ago
I had to turn it off it was so terrible! That is how I feel when people sing to me happy birthday in a restaurant. I just want them all to go away!
  • GregQ · 1 year ago
    That was just painful...
  • GregQ · 1 year ago
I thought she was about to get shot walking into the front door like that. You don't do that in Albuquerque unless you have a death wish.
  • Phillystax · 1 year ago
When the host asked, "How will this change your life?" I was hoping the winner would say, "I hope not too much. I guess I'll just be living in a bigger house."

But then again, I'd probably sell the big house and invest the money. But that's just me.
  • cdenning · 1 year ago
uhh, wow. That was one of the more awkward things i've seen in my life.
  • Jenni Clayville · 1 year ago
Wait... I'm confused. Did she just WALK into their house? No one opened the door for her.

    So uncomfortable.
  • Terry · 1 year ago
Someone please, ask the host to hush already and tell the winner to be more appreciative
  • ABQ · 1 year ago
I completely understand the parallel to worship. Too many times our leader asks 'How is everyone doing today?' Only to get a lukewarm response to which he repeats the question in that sing/songy patronizing voice. It is very uncomfortable. Also uncomfortable is telling everyone to clap - and then they don't. The worship experience should flow from the inside, not be forced from the outside.
  • bishopdave · 1 year ago
That had to be staged. The party was going on, the kid had a balloon already, people were clapping--clapping, like they expected the surprise. Staged. Worship can't be staged.
  • callmetravis · 1 year ago
The video was 4:58. Can i have my time back?
  • Pat Callahan · 1 year ago
I was watching this live and it was truly bizarre. The weird factor started with the show entering the home uninvited (can anyone say breaking and entering?). If someone came into my house with a camera crew and a personality turned up to 11, I would be a little weirded out.

However... girl, if you're gonna enter to win, be a little stoked when you do.

The whole thing was really strange.

And I am still mad we didn't win.
  • Jim Drake · 1 year ago
I was watching too.. and the host was a ROSE PARADE rejects...too happy happy. I turned it off.
Great thought Carlos..makes us all think if we're salesmen or worshipers.
  • Kimie · 1 year ago
ahahahaha that video was reallly embarrassing..
like watching it i felt bad for the host lady,
she was making a fool of herself..
    & she was suuuuper annoying!

    o dearr...
    that was interesting.
  • Brandi · 1 year ago
    Hahaha!!

THAT WAS HARD TO WATCH, CARLOS, BUT AREN'T YOU EXCIIIITED I DID?? THAT ADOOOORABLE BABY'S EXPRESSION AT THE END WAS JUST PRICELESS! CAN YOU BELIEVE SHE MADE THAT FACE? YOU CAN'T?? OHHHHHHH, WOW I MEAN THIS MUST HAVE BEEN YOUR BEST POST EEEEEEVERRRRRRRRR!
  • Jeremy · 1 year ago
She was just a couple hops away from being "UPS girl".
  • Los · 1 year ago
How about the small child on the floor?
    hahaha
  • portorikan · 1 year ago
I couldn't finish it. That was awful.
  • Carole Turner · 1 year ago
That was THE most obnoxious host EVER!!! She really should be let go for that one.

It was way to painful to watch all of.

I kept thinking maybe the hubs just told her he was cheating...with her friend...at the party! How Jerry Springer is that? And I don't even watch Jerry. I must have a warped mind. That lady did not look happy. Maybe because walked into her house without even knocking.
  • ryan · 1 year ago
as cool as it would be to win a house, i would have still wanted to smack that host, so i can understand the reaction.
  • Rachel · 1 year ago
I would have respectfully asked them to leave...it was all very contrived. Like a terrible infomercial, but painfully real life.

Good reminder of how much we must rely on God's leading and to learn how to be open to where that may take us, in worship and in life [one and the same, if you ask me].
  • Dana · 1 year ago
I seriously wanted to punch her in the face...both, but mainly the host!
  • mark · 1 year ago
That interview was kind of like a skit that Brian Williams (NBC nightly news) did on an SNL skit last year when he hosted it.

He played a homeowner who won $15 million dollars and then refused to get excited over it. The only time he got excited was when a pizza guy showed up and threw in free crazy bread.

michael and i both found it to be very painful to watch. we had to turn in off.
  • Paul J. · 1 year ago
    Oh well. It's gone now.
  • Zach · 1 year ago
I am glad I watched this in the morning, because I would have had nightmares over that host had I watched it at night.
  • church guy · 1 year ago
what is the baby doing on the floor? Looks a little scary!!!
  • Jess · 1 year ago
I think the host scared the poor woman, then the woman didn't want to risk looking like the host.
  • Susie · 1 year ago
That was the best example of how NOT to lead worship. When worship leaders try to lead by the "cheerleader method" or like a sideline coach barking out instructions I find myself totally SELF aware,(am I singing loud enough, are my hands high enough, etc.) but when worship leaders lead by entering into worship themselves, well, that is contagious.
    thanks Carlos
  • Crystal Renaud · 1 year ago
hmm... my mom's entered that thing for years and years. her reaction would have been hilariously out of control.

that lady is lame. and that host needs to stop talking.
  • Mr. Police Man · 1 year ago
I watch this every year. This year it was awful. They didn't even really show the house. The host and his helpers were boring and the climax was off.

Did you know that no winner has ever lived in the won house. According to research I did, the taxes were too much so each winner has had to sell almost right away. And, every house is a tourist attraction.
  • Aaron · 1 year ago
Dear Heavenly Father, please forgive me for impure thoughts of strangling this host until she looses conciousness.
