    Somebody had to say it!

One of the best things I've done. I didn't know they had classes. My doc was in and out in less than 5 minutes. He brought my wife in and told her that I needed to stay on my back for a day and not do anything too strenuous. I milked that day for all I could because in reality I could have gone rightback to work.
BTW it either feels like a kick in the gut or a kick in the nuts. 3
If your doc is good you will be just fine and don't forget to get your day off.

Yea. Don't think my SD600 wont be going in with me.

    welcome to the club!
my 'procedure" was two songs on the radio long. the doc was former military and he'd probably done thousands by the time he got to me. one of the songs? "candle in the wind" by elton john....truth.

  • Jason · 2 years ago
Alright man. You're my test case.

    Hang tight.
  • Vince · 2 years ago
It hurts...don't let anybody tell you different. I was laid up for a week. And you have to ice for a couple days...which sucks.
  • Travis · 2 years ago
Dude - mine is scheduled for Jan 3, so go light on the horror stories . . .
  • Tyler Braun · 2 years ago
I remember not being able to sit on my dad's lap for a week. I just thought he got hurt playing basketball or something. My mom said he had an awhwwie.

of all the things you document... you won't document this? seriously.

i'm disturbed by jason's "hang tight" comment.

praying it all goes well for ya.
  • jeff · 2 years ago
i did it years back...right after the birth our third (SURPRISE!!) daughter...good news is that my (neutered) dog was very empathetic...
  • Juevos Rancheros · 2 years ago
I'll say a prayer for ya!
  • Adam F · 2 years ago
It's the gift that keeps on giving all year long.

Been there. Done that. Get the frozen bag of peas ready.

Just think long term, man! Snip, snip.
  • dannyd · 2 years ago
no big deal dude! unless you don't lie around like the dr. says - then, BIG deal, if you know what i mean...
  • brodyHarper · 2 years ago
Piece of cake... just don't freak out when everything turns black....
  • robin · 2 years ago

  • Scott · 2 years ago
    You're a good man Carlos.
  • portorikan · 2 years ago

    Prepare to hear:

"Daddy, why do you have ice between your legs?"
  • Dale Best · 2 years ago
As you age, these things get called "procedures" by the doctors...but it really is "surgery."

Someone is shaving tonight. Be sure not to "procedure" yourself...leave that to the experts.

My husband's wasn't the best, so I won't share it... but the only advice I'll give (based on his experience) is RELAX! It's very important that you aren't tense when you go in there! :-)

    Dear Lord

    Los,

Bro it is gonna be fine, actually it will be better than fine, as our hero from the day use to say "DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!" Was one of the best decisions I ever made when it comes to SEX (Yes, I said it the SEX word, sorry it won't be long!)

    Still be saying a Word!

P.S. Putting your legs in stirrups is probably one the most emasculating things a man can do in life, next to driving a mini-van so bring the SD600 and tell the wife to wait outside!

    Dear Lord...
  • Truiitt · 2 years ago
    Dear Los,
Contrary to some other folks here, I will *not* be praying about this. Instead, I will spend the next 5 minutes trying to get all talk of procedures, frozen peas, and "my boys" out of my mind. That is all.

    Love, Truitt

Take a hot bath before going in! It'll be a long day for both you & the DR. if the boys are cold!
  • bnpositive · 2 years ago
It's totally nothing to worry about. I had the laser procedure done, barely felt a thing. Of course the site of a small wisp of smoke rising up from the area at the beginning was a little disconcerting. The funniest thing of the entire event was the songs we heard in the waiting room.

1.) Great Balls of Fire - Jerry Lee Lewis
    2.) Maneater - Hall & Oates

There was one more that "fit" but I can't think of it right now.

Have fun sitting on the recliner for a day or two and relaxing. Warning! Don't let the kids even think about running and jumping on you in the chair, that was a big wake-up call!
  • April · 2 years ago
I am praying for you! and the kids and Heather!!!

Ok, really sympathy, Yeah right! I was up cleaning our house the day I got home from delivering our first child. Oh did I mention it was after 48 hours of horrific pain, hundreds of hands up my V-JJ and finally pushing a head through it. Um, a little snip snip on the boys is hardly anything to chat about. :) I love you. H

Shootin' blanks ain't all that bad so long as it still makes a lot of noise. :O
  • Pearmama · 2 years ago
I'm with Heather, quit yer cryin!! Imagine your internal organs shifting to accomodate a seven pound object...your lady parts leaking and stretching and tearing and burning....and all your veins below the waist swelling somethin' purty.

Dude. Take your miniscule snip with some dignity! Lay back with a bag of frozen peas and remember your days of virility. ;)
