Ready to eat right? I'm convinced that's the ticket and since there's few things I can cut out because I'm nursing, I've decided the "sweets" need to go... so anything "indulgent" (other than "mommy and daddy time... which should be considered exercise) is out the door for the week... anyone else? No chips, no dessert, no pop... and, as an added bonus (since I must have a reason for everything) I will be praying for my husband every time I crave something.

    Week 7... bring it on!

Well I am quite happy to see Los has stepped up and given his #'s! The important one that is. =)

Ok, so very humbly I would just like to quietly share that I.....

    LOST 4 POUNDS!!!!
    I LOST 4 POUNDS!!!!!!! WOO HOO~!!!!!!

Again, trying to be humble and lady like with that announcement. ;)

I did well this week, trained every time I was supposed to and ate well. I lost 4 pounds by Friday. Looking forward to next week!

Los, I started taking Glucosamine and Chondroitin supplements with my whole neck issue and my joints feel great. Haven't taken ibuprofen in 6 weeks. I'm not a runner so I don't know how it works if you're beating on your ankles everyday.

Down 2.6 lbs this week - which is actually surprising because of it being a holiday weekend. I seemed to eat way to much of the stuff that tasted way too good to be good for me. This week threw off my riding & running too, just by nature of it being a shortened work week.

Next week should be interesting. It's my birthday next week - anyone have any tips on working off birthday cake?? :)

Still no cokes in my diet - officially 4 weeks ago today since I've had one. That's a new record for me for sure - I don't think I've been 4 weeks without a coke since I was conceived...

Hope you guys have agreat week - see you next Saturday.

OK...you gotta see how I did. Could be good, or bad...hmmm

i know what you mean about the joints hurting...that's why i have to run on the treadmill, it's that or nothing 'cuz if i run on the street, about 1 week later my knees & ankles are killing me & i have to stop and i can barely even walk. anyhow...how many days did the 80+ miles take? that's awesome. let's see, it would take me over a month to do that.

Hy Los, you sounded like you gave up on the weight loss part of the challenge... come on, man. You can do it! We are in this together!
  • Minnow · 1 year ago
I am not going to quit. That's the best I can say. And three cheers for the rest of you!!!
  • Gretch-A-Sketch · 1 year ago
Ok, why do we only have 16 people so far????

    I think I remember starting with 70-something.

    Where did everyone go???????

Maybe we should all encourage those from list week 1.

    Who's with me?????
  • Tracey · 1 year ago
Good week for me! I ran! I still can't believe it...

Good call going to the doctor Los. I wouldn't mess with that for too long. From what I understand, ice is your friend. Have a great week! ~:-)

80 miles is awesome! Way to go.

I got great news with this week's weigh-in. Thanks for starting this!!

Still pluggin' along. Did much better on my exercising this week! Only lost 0.5 lb, though. So happy about the working out, though! I am getting into this :o)

It's all about the shoes Yo! Shoes and Inserts. I started running last summer and my feet just about fell off until I got the right shoes and appropriate inserts.

Don't give up on the weight loss... Lose the weight and the feet won't take such a beating. Smaller plates = smaller portions = smaller waist... ;)
  • deWeb · 1 year ago
don't fret about the weight. i was supposed to run 10 miles today, but my new shoes were killing my feet cause they weren't broken in yet.

    nice.

Still hanging in there. Down .4 lbs this week.

Didn't exercise due to horrible migraines. Made it through the holiday with out gaining weight (I'm sorry for those of you who did).

I think I'm with Amy from Dandelion Seeds. Nothing sweet (unless it's the "good stuff" with hubby).

Gretch-A-Sketch, I'll try to help you find some of them when I find myself under the pile of work on my desk. It really shouldn't take that long. See you in a while.

    Press on Ragamuffin-Tops, press on.

I'm thankful for this accountability -- it made me question my portion control, even with so many dining out options -- and I tried to burn off a few more calories while enjoying the sunny 4th.
