    Hey Carlos,

I'm a long time reader of your blog. I enjoy it very much. I recently decided I am long overdue to leave a comment on here. I also decided that because I waited so long, you deserved something different. I created this Jib-jab for you: http://www.jibjab.com/starring_you/receipt/2292837

warning: there is the use of the "d-word" in the video ;-)

I agree. I hate those things.
    Annoying.

As soon as I started my blog, I looked for the way to turn that snap thing off! It is awful!

I'd totally give anyone a dollar for an Internet browser based on the principles seen here. I love St. Jobs, but this is the future.

    Ted.com YouTube for smart people.

For you firefox users that have the AdBlock Plus extension installed, you can configure your ABP to block out those annoying Snap pop-ups.

Of course, do us all a favor and turn it off on your blog, but for the sites that you come across that still have it, that solution should help you wipe out those snaps!

    Agreed, snapshots are no good.
  • tony sheng · 2 years ago
    goodness right on
  • Brad · 2 years ago
Yeah turn those things off... anybody who has those things on their blog must be a real amateur (turning snapshot off this very minute) Man you'd think people would be a little more educated before they jumped into blogging (trying to figure out how many people hit my blog before I turned snapshot off). The nerve. Rookies.

hate those things with a passion that burns brighter than a thousand suns.
  • portorikan · 2 years ago
I agree as well. I had some amazon ones popping up on my site. I made them disappear.
  • pete · 2 years ago
wow... i guess i'm waaaaaayyyy in the minority here, but i kinda like them.

    why?

because i gives me a relatively up-to-date snapshot of what's on the other side. -- if i don't see anything new or of interest, then i don't follow the link and move on.

so... i ain't turnin' it off. (nya-nya )

    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH Snap!
  • Rick · 2 years ago
Will do, Los...disabling it as we speak.
  • Abs · 2 years ago
Thank you for enlightening those of us with stunted blog intelligence...oh mighty wordpress guru... :)
  • Jason · 2 years ago
    Word Los.
  • Tyler Braun · 2 years ago
Yeah those are annoying. I'm glad you pointed that out.
  • Doug · 2 years ago
    Blog snobs......
  • Los · 2 years ago
Another reason. If I am mousing over a thumbnail of an image...I really do not need to see it pop up smaller over that image of itself.
  • Randy · 2 years ago
I gotta defend myself. They are useful when used appropiately. For example I turn all links except outgoing off. So you only see popups of what you might want to visit(I don't link to a million people therefore its not annoying)...Also you can link text to a popup image which is great for sarcasm...and we all love sarcasm!
  • Ronni · 2 years ago
okay so how do you get rid of them if you have a wordpress hosted blog? I can't get rid of them for the life of me... *sigh*
  • Ronni · 2 years ago
ah... found it. :) Done. Those things ARE annoying...
  • alex mclean · 2 years ago
you should put a disclaimer on your disclaimer
  • lorijo · 2 years ago
    i'm sorry. =(
