    Camera...

I'll admit it wasn't anything supper expensive, but it was more than I was expecting at the time.

I still use it for video,,, the light meter went out so all the pics are washed out with white... so sad.

My calling card pin. It took me about a year to realize that she was still making long distance calls on my dime, sometimes even calling her new boyfriend. Ouch!

Well eight years ago there was an engagement ring....but in more recent years it was a ridiculously huge floral arrangement (five dozen long stem roses in a vase) and an ipod nano.

my wedding jewelry... ironically he left his too so I have the three pieces of my ring and his ring. I thought about selling them but I probably wouldn't get enough out of them to make it worth it. We have 4 kids together - 3 girls and 1 boy - which means their is a piece of my ring for each girl and my son can have his dad's ring. I'm planning on giving each of them a piece of the set some day when they are old enough to take care of it. The way I see it - now it's their history so really it belongs to them.

Lots and lots of jewelry. I re-gifted most of it and told the recipient from whence the sparklies came.

Hmmm, there were quite a lot of expensive purchases/gifts including couches (these were given to him so he didn't actually buy them), a white bookshelf (given again), ipod nano, coach purse, and others. Although, the one that definitely was the most expensive was a kayak, kayak paddles, life jacket, and air pump.

I recieved at U2 Edition 20GB iPod from an ex-girlfriend just weeks before we broke up. I would've given it back but she never asked for it.

It malfunctioned a year and a half later and my then-girlfriend/now-wife took it to the Apple Store to have it fixed and learned that my ex had gotten it for me since it was her name attached to the iPod serial number.

Needless to say, the iPod never got fixed...

1 carat engagement ring from ex-fiance. They say the woman gets to keep the ring if the guy calls it off. Technically, I think he did.

He called to tell me he thought we should take a 3 month break to seek God's guidance. I figured it was a lame breakup line. I moved to a new city and started a new job. Somehow, he tracked me down at work. He said it had been 3 months and he wanted to resume our engagement. I didn't. I sold the ring for 1/10th of its value.

I remember back in the sixth grade I bought my girlfriend a Hypercolor sweatshirt. That thing was like $50. So, in adult dollars that was like buying her a car.

A trip to Disney World, and that's where the relationship went terrible. I started dating DH about 2 weeks later. He was waiting for me at the gate when my flight got in.

Jewelry that I never wore even when I was married. I asked for a guitar for my birthday and he gave me a sapphire and diamond ring, never wore it. You would have thought he would have learned but then I asked for a digital camera and again I got jewelry it was the diamond and sapphire cross to match the ring I never wore. Plus I have my wedding ring set. I should definitely try to get some money from them. Oh and I did eventually get a guitar, my grandma gave me one, and I did eventually get a camera that I bought for myself.

    back in the early-mid 90's....

a car... a used one... he decided my car had too many miles on it....

he also bought me a nice stereo system, 35mm slr camera & accessories, quite a few pieces of jewelry including some nice diamond earrings, lots of clothes, cell phone (he thought he could call me anywhere - i'd turn it off or ignore it).... basically trying to buy my love.... he even had a 20K engagement ring picked out - all i had to do was say yes... i refused...

he told me if i ever left him there wasn't enough room in this world for both of us and how he could kill me with his bare hands.... i started the break-up speech one night - he started driving back a dark country road.... i back-paddled....

a few months later he was p.o.'d when i told him my dad said if there wasn't enough room for both - there wasn't enough for either of us... soon after that i got away... thankfully we lived about an hour apart - but i still watched my back for awhile...
