Man, some of you guys are gross...not to say that I don't share some of those habits with you all. I'm quite the secretive nose-picker/gas-passer myself. I once beat out a group of guys in a "farting contest." It was simultaneously glorious and humiliating. Not sure I'll ever attempt that again. :)

For no reason I can explain, I gave up gum about 20 years ago. It's not that I won't EVER chew it again, I just don't get any real pleasure from it. Weird.

I pick at my ears. It's gross and I wish I could stop. But they get crusty and so I pick at them. Then I flick the crust. Wherever. LOL! Not a secret anymore. Hey, now I have no more secrets. I'm free. Los, you set me free. Sweeet!! ;)

Only when I'm by myself:

I sing. Like, loud singing. Like, I know why the neighbors look at me funny loud. Like, my poor dog has panic attacks because I break out in song at a moment's notice. I know this isn't too devious, but well... that's all I can think of that I feel like confessing with my name attached.

Speaking of gum. One time I swallowed a piece of gum and 30 minutes later it came back after a burp. I kept it. Resurrection gum. But I lost it... it must have ascended to Heaven.

oh man, i stretch my gum in public! grosses most of my friends out, some of them find it amusing though. the funny thing is that I don't realize that I' doing it until someone gives me "the stare" and then I just smile and keep on stretching the gum... I also wrap it around my finger or pretend to spit it to people (but that's just to my close friends, heh). I know, gross... but its FUN!

My baby sister and I both do this, though I don't ever recall teaching it to her. When we sit facing a window we close one eye and line some spot on the window or object in the foreground with a distant object; sort of like aiming a really big imaginary rifle. Since it sometimes requires some degree of focus, it gives the appearance that we are pirates thinking very deeply on the subject at hand.

When asked what the heck I'm doing, I usually reply "nothing" quickly and change the subject. It's stupid but it's subconscious.

Sometimes I look at objects or people's eyes in a pattern... Like, if I'm looking at your eyes, I might look at the top of your right iris, then the top of your left iris. Then the bottom of your left, then the bottom of your right. And then back to home at the top of your right just to satisfy the OCD requirement. Geez, I'm weird.
