honestly los, you have no idea how much i agree with you. Healer is my favorite worship song right now, by far. It is so good. I was a camp counselor again this year at Woodstock First Baptists summer camp, and this song was a part of almost every worship set the students experienced. One of my best friends, Hannah was also there as a camp counselor. Hannah has been going through a really tough time lately because her mom has been undergoing some pretty tough chemo. Healer was nothing short of the word that week, (and continues to be) for me and more so for Hannah. I've never felt the holy spirit more powerful then when i had my hand on her back and sang this song louder than ever before. It was such an amazing experience.

It's been looping in my ipod too. So much so, that I have made Portuguese subtitles for the entire clip yesterday night... finished at about 3AM. It was worth every second of it! BTW, BubblePly is awesome! Found it yesterday too.
You know, I'm in a healing process myself right this moment (sprain ankle). God has touched me deeply through this song. It also reminded me of the hard time my wife went through early this year... pretty rough. I cried listening to Healer and looking at her completely healed and pregnant with our first child watching TV with her mother, which God broght from Brazil to complete the blessings. It was an amazing experience... so many blessings after a storm. I believe! God is my healer!
Just two weeks ago we did an entire service on healing complete with Dr. Oral Roberts proclaiming a healing prayer on video. The move of God was so incredible! We sang healer and played Mike's testimony prior to singing it as well. Since then we've seen numerous miracles - people healed of cancer, knees restored, hearing restored... God is moving in such amazing ways right now!
I'm working on a new blog that will capture and highlight all of these stories and more. I'll post it as a part of creative chaos when I'm done, but for now check out the message portion of our service below.
Five years ago tomorrow, I was there as a little girl was born. She never took a breath of life, but she changed my world. She was my niece and I meant to adopt her but Daddy God took her home instead. He held me in those days, and drew me to Him in such a profound way. I still miss the little girl I meant to raise, and my own miscarriage within days of that, but God used them, ironically to heal me and make me a bit more of the woman He meant for me to become.

I think we forget so easily that NOTHING is impossible for God.. Nothing. If He wills it, it will be. We need only to believe that it is possible.

We sang this again this morning and every time I hear it, I cry tears of joy because I do know that NOTHING is impossible for Him and it gives me so much hope in ALL of my "impossible" circumstances. This is one of my absolute favorites.

We're introducing this song at a worship event in mid-august. I've been looping it, and everyone who has heard it starts to weep. Mike's story - and god through him - has an amazing ability to connect with people where they are. Absolutely breathtaking.

That song could stir me, I recognize that...but I'm still dealing with my experience of believing that God was Elliot's healer, that he was more than enough, that nothing is impossible; and yet Elliot wasn't healed. I still struggle with that.
Even writing this post I see how small my faith is now, so self centered; but I didn't feel like it was that way at the time. Mike's story is truly amazing and it makes me long to be in that place, but I'm finding it increasingly difficult to get out of my own experience.

We have been doing a series for the past 8 weeks called "The Main Thing." We take away most of the media, our intelligent lights, strip everything down and just focus on God. This song has been on our rotation and I can say it is an amazing worship experience. God has really been moving and healing.

I'm in tears right now and I'm not even a crier. I've been singing that song for two weeks straight, waiting to introduce it to our church at the right time. It's one of those songs that can't just be introduced as a normal worship song. It's so much more.

Mike's story of battling cancer (I think it's cancer?), and seeing him sing that with all his heart and having oxygen tubes on his face, really adds to the dynamic of this song. It seems easy to sing this song if we're healthy and whole. But let's admit it...none of us are completely whole or healed without our Savior.
I've only heard this song once or twice, but after listening to it today, it is really digging into me. Wow. It makes me think of the concept of shalom--perfect peace, nothing missing, nothing broken, perfectly whole and at one with God. What a powerful dynamic of His Kingdom, wrapped up in the story of His people.

We're adopting a child right now because I was healed of a spending addiction. Because of that healing, we are able to save the cash to bring our little guy home from ethiopia. God is truly the great healer!

Dude... my band played at the Hillsong Conference this year and we got to meet Mike. He really is an amazing guy. When he sang the song in the final service it felt like the roof was going to blow off the building. The presence of God was so strong, my brother had to leave his seat and just start jumping when they got to the bridge. The song has ministered to me so much as I've been having some health problems the past week or so. God knows what we need to hear. -jack

I'd hate to take away from the seriousness of this post, but I would like to make a request: Take a listen to the Planetshakers version. Musically and vocally it is definitely superior than the Hillsong version (even as a Hillsong fan). Please don't get me wrong, I don't want to make light seeing Mike sing his heart out.

I'm sitting at work and catching up on stuff, pop on your blog and see the post, figure I'll listen while I'm working, never heard the song, I've heard of Hillsong, don't know anything about them beyond that alot of people LOVE them, basically ignoring it while I work, glance up to see a closeup of Mike singing and instantly see the Spirit in a youtube video. Amazing, I've got tears by the end of it and want to raise my hands (and I'm that guy who never does that). Pure worship, Pure Spirit...and I got it from a video...My God is powerful!

I reduce Him to the size of my problems...or even to just enough but God is more then enough. 2 Weeks ago we used this song as a back drop to an old school invitation and literally hundreds came forward and proclaimed their need for healing both spiritually and physically. My church (www.healingplacechurch.org) just put out a CD called Epic Worship that I am all over right now. If you are not scared, email me your mailing address and I will send you one. ; ) I think my favorite track is called I Love but, like I said, I am all over this thing!
So, I do not post here much because a million other people do but you often talk about leading worship and do a lot of videos and I would really love to hear you sing. I love to sing and have enough talent to lead worship in children's church but I aint no Amy Winehouse so that is as far as it goes for me. Music moves me to my core though and I so enjoy hearing the talents God has given to others so, will you sing for us?

I heard this song for the first time in 2007 when the planetshakers played it in Indy. They originally had the song on CD.
People don't sing this song. It's so much more than that. This song electrifies any audience it encounters. You don't just sing, you don't just raise your hands, you don't just cry; you touch God with this song. It doesn't just touch you.

Mike's originally from Adelaide, Australia (my home town!) and has the most incredible testimony... i remember him preaching at my old church before I moved here to the US and breaking bones midsermon because his bones have become so brittle, yet still declaring God's greatness throughout his pain.
Like others I was moved to tears when I heard this for the 1st time 30 minutes ago and just played it again for my wife & it happened again. It has been an emotional time as of late for a lot of different reasons and the words and power of the song have my brain working overtime at the greatness of our God. Thanks for the post Los and can't wait to sing this at BC.

Michael Guglielmucci told worshippers, friends and his own family that he was likely to die from the disease.
He claimed his hit song "Healer", which was included on mega-church Hillsong's latest album, came to him as a "gift from God" on the day the diagnosis was revealed.
It propelled Mr Guglielmucci, formerly a pastor with Melbourne-based church Planetshakers, to the forefront of Australia's Christian youth movement.
But the story was completely made up.
A statement from Australian Christian Churches vice president Alun Davies said Mr Guglielmucci, now living in Adelaide, had admitted to fabricating his cancer story.
"Representatives of the National Executive for the Australian Christian Churches recently met with Michael Guglielmucci," Mr Davies said.
"At this meeting, he read a statement indicating that his claim to have cancer was untrue.
"His credential with the Australian Christian Churches was immediately suspended."
An abundance of material documenting Mr Guglielmucci's falsified illness is available on the internet.
