I love the world wide interweb.
  • Cole · 2 years ago
We need the rest of the song to really take shots at you. Where's Part 2?
  • jason_73 · 2 years ago
THAT IS THE FREAKING FUNNIEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN.

    Hilarious.
  • weybright · 2 years ago
    HAIR?
  • neil · 2 years ago
reminds me of a young wesley snipes ala "new jack city".

    but with a tie & khaki's...
  • Todd · 2 years ago
I didn't see any black male.
  • Dale Best · 2 years ago
There's even a floating cross in the background...

You're not running for the Republican nomination and trying to appeal to Christian voters...are you?
  • David M. Coe · 2 years ago
The girl on your right can't stop adoring you!

Beautiful singing. Serious! Why isn't it in English?
  • Brooke · 2 years ago
    Oh, my how things change!
  • anne jackson · 2 years ago
    what the crap?
  • Scott · 2 years ago
It kind of reminds me of Carlton from the fresh prince :)
  • kathy · 2 years ago
Was this how you looked when you met Heather? How did THAT happen?
  • Slade · 2 years ago
...ha but if it weren't for exaltation, the watchmen would have never been. there's redemption even in BS.
  • Jarrett · 2 years ago
    I don't now Carlito.
I couldn't even hear a word you were saying.
Like the girl next to you, I found myself having haughty eyes for your sweet Cahmbray Shirt and Aeropostale Tie.
  • Ronni · 2 years ago
oh my... now I'm worried about that video of me singing 12 minutes of Te Deum out there somewhere....

    Oh my.

Well... I still have hair tho... well... kinda...
  • Crystal Renaud · 2 years ago
    i am so scared.
  • Jarrett · 2 years ago
    Sorry. That's CHAMBRAY.
    Wikipedia if you must.
  • Chris · 2 years ago
    carlos...man.

i would take shots but i too was a choir geek in college. vocal performance was my major at the time.

i feel your pain. there are videos of me...just not online.
  • Tyler Braun · 2 years ago
that has to be the token song that sounds ethnic that every choir did to sound cool back in the 90s.
  • BryanG · 2 years ago
I'm with Chris. It would be hypocritical to make fun. Azusa Pacific Men's Choral baby. We had to wear tuxes though. Nothing GQ like you my friend.
  • Tim · 2 years ago
i don't even know what to say. It's to bad this wasn't leaked before LA Ink.
  • Russ · 2 years ago
    Beautiful. :)
  • Terry K. Moore · 2 years ago
I've done the same thing for the same reasons, and sounded just as stupid. Fortunately no one recorded it.
  • Allen Arnn · 2 years ago
    Yep... we sang that too.
    hahahahahahaha
  • joshua · 2 years ago
that brings back memories. i sang that same song back in my high school audition choir...

...we did it much better though. ;-)
  • tim · 2 years ago
so.. yea.. that girl wanted her some los.. bad..

but what i'm wondering is who was the monkey running the camera.. what was that? robotics cam from hell?!
  • mandy · 2 years ago
    Yeah...
If I thought of your 1994 self...
that image would not come to my head. haha
And I agree.... those girls wanted you! ^.^ haha
  • JTCrespo · 2 years ago
Did someone have to hold you down and super-glue that tie on you? Or were you bucking for a modeling gig at J.Crew back then?

Wait, I saw you wearing a tie last week too, didn't I? My whole view of you is shattered.

I just wish I had video of you swing dancing. Now that would be HOT!
  • Jenni Clayville · 2 years ago
OMG... I have to be honest, an expletive escaped my lips watching that... only because I am truly afraid I have video similar to that somewhere out there.

    And... I'm still laughing.
  • Adam F · 2 years ago
Just think what you'll be saying about "Los 2007" in ten years:
    "I can't believe I didn't wear fleece"
"Why did I buy that Urban Outtfitters jacket"
"What was I thinking with those boots"
    "Shaved head and beard, really?"
  • Matt · 2 years ago
Oh man, Los...that made my day!!! Takes me back to my college singing group days! I believe that was First Call, was it not?! God bless CCM!!!
  • Sandi · 2 years ago
    Oh my gosh.
  • Pam · 2 years ago
As odd as it is for all these people to see you WITH hair...it's weird for me to see you WITHOUT hair...still the same Carlos though :)
  • azuspeak · 2 years ago
    Wow. That's tragic.
  • loswhit · 2 years ago
Yes. I thought I would show you that ANYONE has hope ladies and gents. Anyone. Even skinny, old, BS'in me.
    You are welcome.
  • Dale Best · 2 years ago
No wonder cranberries are the frozen food of choice in the Whittaker household...you did go to Berry College...
  • TIM · 2 years ago
    Two words:

    TOTALLY.
    HOT.

    (Be still my beating HEART!)
  • Wendy · 2 years ago
Was the girl on your left by chance named Stacy? We might have another link in our pasts.... I'm not sure I want to be linked with that Carlos, ;-) but I'm just curious...
  • Meghan · 2 years ago
    (blinking back the tears)

    Praise the Lord.
  • Paul J. · 2 years ago
    I feel your pain, Los.
Just search "Mylon" on YouTube and you'll see what I mean. Parachute pants. Mullet. Fingerless gloves. 80's faux dance moves.
I'd like to find and hurt the guy that put all those on there...
  • Chris Green · 2 years ago
Not so bad. What sucks is that my old church is doing that song this weekend.
  • Scott Williams · 2 years ago
    Wow! $%@!#$ LOL
  • Gbrad@mag · 2 years ago
umm . . . yeah . . . see , I knew technology was the gateway to hell . . . this is one of those things that gets lost in a fire of buried in a time capsule ;)
  • Rachel · 2 years ago
A hearty laugh from this one. Seems I've been doing that a lot lately when I read your blog. I didn't recognize you at first, that's for sure. How uncool we all are at some time or another.

Ah, Los. Someday I hope to officially meet you and I think it'll be too much fun.
  • chip · 2 years ago
It is so good not to live in the past and to know that God isn't counting my past against me. My mom has senior pictures of me that make me cringe to this day.
  • Erick Bauman · 2 years ago
I just know that I am going to have to explain this to my wife when she gets the X-watch alert thanks to how that blonde was undressing you with her eyes. Optical fornication... I think that sets off X-watch, right?

Also, this a great video to show that you don't have to spif-up how one describes God other than just being real.

    Kudos for knowing another language.
  • Rich Kirkpatrick · 2 years ago
after the cranberries AND this I am speechless...
  • Jordan Lucas · 2 years ago
DUDE!!! I sang that in song in high school. That exact part! man that is weird.....Vuoom Ve yo tee. Good stuff!!
  • Adam · 2 years ago
    Dear. Sweet. Jesus.

I was holding it together okay until we hit O Sifuni Mungu...then I died.

    Everyone together...na mfalme wetu!

Am I the only one who only sees a brown Topher Grace?
  • Brandi · 2 years ago
Oh, Carlos. You were so young, and doing the best you could with what you had. Even if you were hanging on by a God-thread, He was still working in you and leading you to exactly where you are today.

I would give a WHOLE LOT for you to be on our stage being that goofy for us right now.
  • Mr. Police Man · 2 years ago
Dude you were hot, what happened?
  • alex mclean · 2 years ago
I wish I had a video like that.
  • Molly Moore · 2 years ago
To Wendy... yes, the girl on his left is Stacy! Is your connection from Briarlake or Berry?
  • Bill · 2 years ago
Kind of reminds me of the young Homer Simpson flashbacks.
  • Jesse Holden · 2 years ago
Dude, looking back....First Call was actually pretty good in their day, didn't Acapella do that song too? Didn't that song always come up around Missions Fest time in most churches? Dude, I still think you could SoCal some Kakhi's bro.
  • Mox · 2 years ago
    Im in complete awe........
  • Clay · 2 years ago
You should have come across town and sang with a REAL choir dude! Shorter College--Class of '95.

    Clay
  • David · 2 years ago
    Brilliant.
  • Amber Cox · 2 years ago
    PRICELESS!!
  • Roy · 2 years ago
oh my.. you look so...so...baptist! not baptist in the traditional sense, but it's a TBN late-night throne-room sitting with Oral, Paul and Jan Crouch kind of baptist. Wow.
  • Albee · 2 years ago
My kids came into the room as I was watching this, and I asked them who that was singing....without hesitation they both proclaimed.....Carlton Banks!!!
  • Jumaine Jones · 2 years ago
I can't take any shots at you, bro. I sang with the University of Maryland Gospel Choir in the 1990's and we sang THAT same exact song! Oh Si Funi Mungu! I've only heard that song in two places through out my entire life. The first time was in with the choir. The second time is now at your blog. Thanks for the memories!
  • hodge · 2 years ago
    Looking good Los.
  • john in colorado · 2 years ago
WOW. if they had fleece back then, your would've worn it.
  • Jinx · 2 years ago
Interesting....I've never heard that rendition of "Glorify Thy Name".

    Ha! A brown Topher Grace
  • kim · 2 years ago
Will there be a reunion tour? Would so totally love to book you....
  • Jules · 2 years ago

  • Dan Atchison · 2 years ago
I don't know what everyone is talking about. I for one was blessed beyond measure by this excellent performance... uhh.. ministry.
  • west · 2 years ago
oh my......and the hair.....there's hair! that's comedy if I've ever seen it.
  • Pearmama · 2 years ago
    Dude.
  • Carole Turner · 2 years ago
    That is fantastic!
  • Naz · 2 years ago
Well, let me just say. um, that I for one did uh, not ever in a million years ever sing that song, and well, The Awesome Majesty of God and His Divine Purpose did protect me from doing stuff like that.
  • alicia · 2 years ago
    I have no words.
  • Cristine · 2 years ago
What is crazy is that I sang that same song in choir when I was in middle school! No joke
