AWESOME! We have been doing something similar with The Andrew Landers Project (http://www.andrewlanderspro...) that is more of a "band" approach. Andy is our worship leader and ALP is a ministry of the church (http://www.calvaryonline.org) in which we have been getting out into the community to meet people where they are. We feature a lot of well-known musicians from the area and have gained quite a following on our own.

People are looking to fill the void. They have been drawn in, and lives have been changed. It has been awesome!

I believe God will use BMP in a big way. We will pray it does! Great work!

Super cool - we did this for a while down on SSI at Rafters Blues Bar down in the village, but we screwed it up big time. We weren't all on the same page - some of us wanted to do worship, some wanted to have church, some wanted to play non-worship (what exactly is that) ...
Bottom line - we weren't clear on vision, target, or strategy, and it was pretty stinkin' awkward.

Sounds like you have clear vision and leadership - should be amazing. I've no doubt that if Jesus were still here on the earth, he'd be there!

Since you all posted where you are all going to be (ahead of time)...I hope the venue regulars (the ones we're trying to reach) don't start telling their friends..."hey, you know those christians are coming tonight!!"

Be sure to add a few "surprise visits" too.
This project will be as awesome as its strategy.

I love it man. Church folk getting out of the building and into the community is what needs to happen.

I also love the risk taking attitude - it might not "work" and we're ok with that.

Cool idea.

That Seagram's bottle reminded me of my earliest encounter with alcohol, and it didn't end up pretty.

Please tell me you guys didn't intentionally line up those bottles behind you for effect, because if you did, that would be über-tacky in a "look at me, I'm a hipster Christian" kind of way.

Dude....this is off the charts awesome and exciting! I absolutely love it when I see churches going outside of their walls or buns, etc.... to reach the unchurched. Hey, ministry is "risky" business and I LOVE IT!!! Thanks for taking it to the streets and I'm praying for you guys!
