Truth is good....and he probably does need to hear it - from somebody with authority in his life.

I would submitt, however, that public mocking in a Christian forum isn't going to bring much truth.

I'm having difficulty accepting that public humiliation is a valid form of confrontation....even when the behavior of the individual would seem to warrent the mockery...it's still not okay!

don't get me wrong...i had a good hard laugh at this. all 10 times i have seen it...

the thing that scares me about this is if we start thinking we're better than someone like this we may fall to the same thing. We just gotta be careful we guard our hearts even against pride in things like this.

His sermon ran short, so he decided he would try some shock and awe, what he didn't realize is that it was shockingly aweful! Our bathroom is right next to the living room, so when we have compnay and I have to pee, everyone can the ode to the waterfall, so I sit down to keep it quiet, but only when we have company.

You know, I ran accross this video a week or so ago, and I too posted it on my blog....along the lines of how funny/disturbing/absurd it was. I showed it to my family and I laughed. But, for the last few hours all I can think about is the fact that this guy, misguided and misinformed though he may be, is a part of the Body of Christ. I'm pretty sure he and I would agree on almost nothing from a theological or church standpoint, but he is my brother. I had to take the post and video down from my blog....I'm so afraid to send the message to the world or the church that says "if you screw up we will go after you like a bunch of wild dogs" AND, if I have to see this guy in heaven, I hope I can look him in the eye!

No condemnation here AT ALL...this is my conviction. I love your style, I love what you write and I share alot of your thoughts about worship and the church.

Just wanted to present the other side of the coin so to speak.....Love ya!
